From Jade to Babe
Hi. I’m Jade.
I’m 40 years old and single... and I’ve always dreamed of being a mom.
I created this website because I wanted a dedicated space to document my fertility journey.
UPDATES is where I’ll share experiences along the way (feel free to sign up for email updates!).
PHOTOS is where I’ll share memories.
Thank you for being on this journey with me.

Let's get Jade pregnant •
Recently, I was told by a fertility doctor that my egg reserve was rapidly dwindling. It was hard to believe—I feel so young and healthy—but it’s my reality. I don’t have much time left.
I really want to have a baby—I hope to give birth to one that’s biologically mine—so I decided to take action.
I’m working with a fertility clinic to try to get pregnant with the help of donor sperm. We’re starting this month with artificial insemination. I’m hopeful it’ll work! I’m hopeful I’ll get to be a mom.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. Turns out, as a single woman, it also takes a village to try to get pregnant. Over the past few months I’ve been exploring this path, and so many people have stepped up to support me—doctors, nurses, specialists, dear friends, and even kind acquaintances on social media.
This feels like a team effort—a collective mission to get Jade pregnant.
Anytime someone asks what’s next, I instinctively say “we”: “We’re going to the clinic this week” or “We’ll get the results tomorrow.” And when they ask who “we” is, it gives me pause. Because even though it’s just me—Jade—on this journey, I feel so held by my village. It’s beautiful. (And yes, it still feels terrifying. But isn’t that how all big, life-changing decisions feel?)
As I move forward, I know my village will continue to grow—and I’ll need it to. That’s why I created this space*: to share my journey with you. The highs, the lows, and all the little moments in between.
And someday, if all goes as planned, I hope to share this site with my future baby, too. Our future baby. Stories that reflect just how deeply they were wanted, and how hard their mom and her village worked to bring them into this world. A child born from love, care, and their village’s unwavering support. Inshallah. May it be so.

With that, welcome to my journey. Now let’s do this—let’s get Jade pregnant.
*I’ll still share on Instagram (@jadechamness) and Facebook as well; but I envision this site will be for longer-form written updates (see the blog), photos, etc.
